I haven't been active on here. And there's a lot b I haven't been active on here. And there's a lot behind it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm burnt out. Disappointed. Frightened. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By now everyone knows about COVID-19 and the potential implications. I'm not as worried about the virus as I am about humanity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ People have been stockpiling supplies (toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, baby supplies, food.) Acting like it is the apocalypse. All this does it make it more difficult for less privileged people to survive. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I heard a story about a woman who had a cart full of baby formula. Another mother asked if she could have one tin because she had none at home and the lady said no. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Amazon allowed people to purchase thousands of supplies. And in turn they try to sell it back for more. They should not have been allowed to purchase THOUSANDS of items to begin with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Stores have been increasing the costs of supplies because they just want to make more money. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now is a time for our community strength to band together and yet, the survivalist-capitalist mentality prevails. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What happened to our sense of community? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #consciousconsumer #ecoblog #sustainablelifestyle #lowimpactmovement #lowimpactliving #ecoliving #canadianbloggers #zerowastejourney #zerowasteblog #imperfectlyzerowaste

It's seed starting season 🌱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These seeds are from my late grandmother's garden. I can't wait to plant with seeds that she had sown. I didn't inherit her green thumb, but I'm gonna give it my best shot anyway. 😜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I learned so much from my Grandmother. She was the first person who inadvertently taught me sustainability. She helped me learn skills like gardening, sewing, baking. Smelly pits BE GONE 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm not going to lie. Switching to a natural deodorant took me a hella long time. Clearly my genetics lean towards stank. 😬😭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since 2017 I've been wearing only natural deodorants and I've tried them all! (trust me...) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This one by @routinecream has been my personal favourite. The "Superstar" scent is so good and it totally blocks any sweat stank. 👃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, if you're on the hunt for a more environmentally friendly alternative. I wonder what people in the 50's would think if we I wonder what people in the 50's would think if we told them that in the 21st century we're going to be using handheld smart computers connected to satellites to take pictures of cloth pads. 🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All jokes aside, having a low waste period is easy peasy. I love having cloth pads as a backup for my menstrual cup on heavy days. Or just on light days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They are easy to care for.
