November Empties | 2016

Like most other bloggers, I have to start with the sentence “I can’t believe how quickly November went!” Well, this entire year has flown by pretty darn quickly. Then again they always do, don’t they?

November Empties 2016
Dear Canva… I love you, but quit moving my text when I save!!!

This month I finished up a lot of skincare products. In fact, I think this entire post is solely on skincare. That’s not entirely bad though.

** I have linked to products that I have done reviews on, in case you are curious about them**

Face Products

Vichy Purete Thermale Eye Makeup Remover*

This product was sent to me by Chickadvisor and I did a review on it a few months ago. I have to say that I was not every impressed with this product *gasp.* As I’m usually all over Vichy skincare products. This just didn’t really do it for me. You had to scrub your eyes, even for non-waterproof mascara in order for any of it to come off.

Garnier Micellar Water

Another product that I just did not really love. I know some people swear by this, but I thought it was rather… unexciting. I cannot see myself repurchasing this product again.

Vichy Purete Thermale Skin Renewing Creamy Scrub*

I didn’t fall in love with this Vichy product either. I found that it was very drying for my skin – somehow in the summer it would make my face dry and flakey. And yes, I moisturize after using it. I don’t think I’ll be picking another one of these up anytime soon.

Vichy Aqualia Thermale Light Moisturizer

Wow – I really should be a Vichy brand ambassador considering how many of their products I have in my empties! This was the unfortunate jar that I dropped and spilled HALF of the product out of when I repurchased it. Yes, I teared up a little.

I do enjoy this moisturizer, but now I’ve purchased the extra sensitive one that comes in a bottle (so I can’t spill it!) and it’s a little bit heavier for our dry, cold winters.

Vichy Aqualia Thermale Night Moisturizer

I received this sample as part of a set (I love when companies do that with their products!) It was just a small amount, but this product lasted a long time. I mostly enjoy it because the jar is super cute… but it wasn’t a clear-cut winner in my skincare routine. I think I’ll pass on buying a larger size of this.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

GUYS! I actually finished a LIP BALM. That’s one of the hardest things to do. At least in my opinion. I can’t remember the last time I actually finished a lip balm – does this mean I have good luck?

I kid. But the Burt’s Bees lip balm is fantastic! I have a few more kicking around so I can definitely see myself repurchasing!

Body Care

Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

I received this as a gift from my friend who used to work at Lush. I can see this being a great product for the winter time because it is very moisturizing. I’m not sure if it’s a seasonal thing or not. But if you see it and you have dry skin – pick it up!

Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant

As much as I would love to wear deodorant rather than antiperspirant… I can’t. My pits are shameless and they will not stop. I find that if I wear a deodorant by the end of the day I’ll smell horrible. And who wants to smell horrible? No one.
This was… antiperspirant. I mean, it did stop the shamlessly stanky pits but it’s nothing to get super excited about. The coconut scent is pretty nice and not too overpowering. I have repurchased another one of these.

And that’s it for my November Empties! This month was great for chugging away and clearing out the skincare collection…which usually seems to build up faster then you can use it all. Hopefully by next month I can finish up some makeup!

What have you finished this month?
