A good moisturizer (or lack thereof) will make or break your entire makeup look. If you don’t have a perfect base it’s extremely hard to work past that. Which is why I am very picky when it comes to my daily moisturizer.
After hearing that my beloved Zaya Moisturizer was no longer available, I wept, but then rejoiced after hearing about Graydon Skincare’s Green Cream.

Behind The Brand
Graydon is a Canadian Skincare brand that believes in “plant-powered” ingredients. Where the ingredients work in harmony with your skin to nurture and provide a life force. In a nut shell, Graydon provides food for your skin.
A few things about Graydon skincare really stand out to me: when possible they choose to source from Canada, their products are EWG certified and they strongly believe in high quality products.
About the Green Cream
The Green Cream is a moisturizer developed for acne-prone skin which Graydon describes as a “salad for your skin.” Infused with plenty of very healthy food ingredients like broccoli, olive and avocado. Plus it smells like thanksgiving dinner on your face-thanks to the lovely scent of sage.
Oh, and the Graydon Green Cream is EWG verified. With a total score of one.
Key Ingredients
Broccoli Seed Oil
Broccoli seed oil contains sulforaphane which is an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredient that fights free radical damage as well as reducing skin irritation and redness.
Chlorophyll
The main ingredient that creates the slight green hue in the lotion. Chlorophyll is becoming a hot-product in the skincare world due to it’s many benefits including reducing blemishes and the antioxidant properties it provides.
Parsley
Parsley is apparently more than a garnish on your plate. It is rich in rosmarinic acid which has anti-microbial and astringent skincare properties.

How does it work?
What you’re really here for is my experience with the Green Cream. Searching for a natural moisturizer without straight coconut oil or shea butter is no easy feat. Thankfully the Green Cream didn’t disappoint.
After using this product for about two months I have actually noticed that the skin on my cheeks is more even and smooth. Although I cannot say my acne has gone away entirely, I can say that the Green Cream did not cause or exacerbate any existing blemishes.
In fact, I can honestly say that I am thoroughly enjoying the Green Cream. This has happily (and quite quickly) become a favourite of mine. The lovely herbaceous scent makes me crave some thanksgiving stuffing.
Packaging
Now, before I went all super-recycling knowledge crazy, I would have absolutely adored the pump packaging (and I must admit I still love it.) But it is not eco-friendly in the sense that this package has be thrown in the garbage.
Multi-plastic products are not recyclable and especially not pump products. It’s a super huge bummer. But I would love if there was a way to make the packaging more environmentally-friendly.
Overall I adore this product and it gets two thumbs up from me. So far the Graydon Skincare line has provided nothing but total hits- I have also been using their Keto Cleanse.
If you also have acne-prone and somewhat dry skin, look no further than the Graydon Green Cream!
