Battle of the Pits | Penny Lane Natural Deodorant

I was pretty excited to read some great comments on my last “Battle of the Pits” post – so here we are, another week… another test! Today we’re jumping into the Penny Lane Natural Deodorant.

In case you’re interested in reading more about the Battle of the pits, I’ll be reviewing the following deodorants throughout the month in no particular order:

  • Nivea Pure & Natural Deodorant (Review here)
  • Tom’s Natural Deodorant
  • Crystal Natural Deodorant Rock
  • Penny Lane Deodorant Spray

Penny Lane Natural Deodorant in ‘Lavender’Β ($8.99 CAD)

To some, Lavender is a grandma scent (so I’ve been told) but I guess I’m naturally an old person at heart because I honestly cannot get enough of lavender. Before I moved last month I picked up this spray at aΒ huge natural health store! Luckily though, you can also purchase Penny Lane Organics online.

Penny Lane Natural Deodorant spray is made in Canada, Vegan, Zinc Free, Aluminum Free, Chemical Free and Gluten Free.

Although I’ve been using this deodorant for over a month I still have just over half the (160ml) bottle left – which doesn’t mean that I hate it. It means that you don’t need to spray excessively.

Crystal Deodorant and Lavendar Spray

[The perfect pair – Crystal Deodorant & Penny Lane Deodorant Spray]

What’s in it?

  • Distilled Water (Aqua)
  • Witch Hazel (Hammamelis Virginiana)
  • Magnesium Hydroxide (Absorbent)
  • Magnesium Sulfate (Hair Conditioning/ Viscosity controlling)
  • Lavender (Lavandula Officinalis) Essential Oil

That list is pretty simple, eh?

What do I think?

I love this! Not because one spray makes you smell amazing all-day (that’s not the case.) I like to pair this with my Crystal Rock Deodorant (which is unscented – and will review soon!) to help mask the scent. This product is alsoΒ amazing as a foot spray. I like to use this on my feet in the morning before putting on flats…

It smells freaking awesome – if you like lavender. If you don’t, they have citrus and an unscented version as well. If you plan to wear this on a long, hot day then you will have to reapply it.

I can definitely see myself repurchasing this product, it works well and smells amazing.
