Avalon Organics Pampering Routine

Avalon Organics Pampering Routine

Everybody needs a good pamper-sesh every once in a while – whether it be a nice long bath or perhaps a mani-pedi. There’s always something that can help us de-stress! My weapon of choice is a warm bath, a few candles and some spa music; that’s why these Avalon Organics products are in my ultimate pampering routine!

Avalon Organics Pampering Routine with Rejuvenating Rosemary + Lavender

A few months ago I was sent an adorable little care package from Avalon Organics including the Rejuvenating Rosemary Bath & Shower Gel, Lavender Body Lotion and the Lemon Shampoo and Conditioner.

Along with the package I also received a little DIY seed growing kit which managed to fail miserably after my dog decided to chase after a fly that had landed on it and knocked it over… I tried to get her to buy me a new one, but she doesn’t even pay rent. 😉 It’s a darn good thing she’s so cute.

So let’s talk about my pamper routine!

To be honest, I very rarely have the time to enjoy a nice soak in the bath. It’s usually around every two or three months that I actually find the time and the motivation to do it. Between cleaning the bathtub and feeling guilty about all the hot water I’m wasting I tend to push pamper routines aside until I desperately feel the need to recharge.

The first product I’ve been using is the Avalon Organics Rejuvenating Rosemary Bath & Shower Gel (which makes for a lovely shower as well!)

Rosemary essential oil provides an uplifting fragrance that helps to re-energize and renew. not only is it great for relaxing at the end of a long day, but it can be used to help improve mental function while doing tasks like studying.

The aroma of the Avalon Organics Rejuvenating Rosemary bath is amazing, it seriously helps to pull you out of a bad mood if you’ve had a particularly stressful day at work. And when you work in retail… let’s just say it happens more often than not!

After a relaxing bath with some candles and spa music…

It’s time to lotion up and lock in all that moisture, no one wants dry flaky skin! Another important thing now that I’m pregnant is to keep my belly as moisturized as possible to help minimize the occurrence of stretch marks.

The possibility of getting stretch marks really does come from your genetics, but it’s important to do whatever you can to try and avoid them! (Seeing as I already have a lovely set of tiger stripes on my thighs after my teenage growth spurt… I think it’s likely I’ll get more.)

Avalon Organics Lavender Hand & Body Lotion

AVALON ORGANICS LAVENDER BODY LOTION

The Avalon Organics Lavender hand & body lotion has been my all-time favourite moisturizer this year. Not only does it smell delicious, but it sinks into the skin well and leaves wherever you applied it super soft.

Lavender essential oil is both stimulating and calming; it works to help calm your mind and relax. it’s known to be great for skincare due to it’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Another ingredient list that I didn’t expect to be as long as it is, I sincerely hope that this doesn’t just include “filler” ingredients and that all of these serve a purpose in making the lotion as good as it is…

Although I admit that I really enjoy these products (much more than the Avalon Organics Clarifying Lemon Shampoo + Conditioner…) I am rather taken aback by how many ingredients they each have. It seems like for such a simple scent they include so many other different ones.

I’m no expert in making skincare products, but I guess they must all serve a purpose in some way shape or form.

I’m glad that I had the opportunity to give these products a try – and I can definitely see myself repurchasing the lotion! It’s just that good.

  • The hand and body lotion really does sounds lovely! I have seen this brand sold at Thrifty’s Food and occasionally available at Winners but never tried anything from them. And yes, stretch marks are really down to genetics and I’m really lucky to have none from both pregnancies.
