First off, Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians!
I think that this book was the best one I’ve read yet. It’s not my usual style and maybe that’s why I really enjoyed it.
365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life
A couple weeks back I was asking around for some book suggestions when a colleague in my office recommended this book to me, having very few ideas and wanting to try something new I decided to purchase and read it. Needless to say, I’m very happy I did.
This is a short (160 page) book about a lawyer who realized that his life was going down the pipe in 2008. He wasn’t happy with where he was or who he was. With two failed marriages and a young daughter he wanted to make a change. One day the inspiration hit him to be more thankful and grateful.
This sounds like the cheesiest thing in the world, and I don’t want to ruin it for you! It was amazing to read about what happens when you take the time to say thank you. After reading this book I am definitely going to make some changes myself.
A nice bonus, at the end of the book he gives a few tips on writing a thank you card. Seeing as it’s not a commonplace thing to do, it’s pretty helpful.
Sometimes we take what other people do for us for granted, and when you reciprocate with gratitude some amazing things can happen. It’s nice to read about a little bit of positivity every once in a while, and in just 3-4 hours this book has made me look at life a little bit differently.
I hope you all have a wonderful day, and thank you for taking the time to read this!
let me know what you think of the book if you decide to read it!
